2. Scholarships/Funds for Full-time Undergraduates
UGU awards scholarships to reward academic merit and music practical skills during the student's undergraduate years.
Madam Masue Ishibashi Scholarship
This scholarship of ¥630,000 is awarded to the students whose primary instrument is violin, and showed outstanding academic and music achievements.
Special Scholarship for Soloist Course Students
The students who passed the Soloist Course Audition/Entrance Exam with merits are exempt from paying the tuition fee.
Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbu-Kagakusho) Scholarships are available for overseas students (information should be available from the Japanese embassy in your country of residence). Also, there are numerous foundations offering various forms of financial assistance.
